One of the most unusual and rare natural materials, Shungite was formed more than 2 billion years ago. This powerful healing mineral comes from ancient deposits near Lake Onega in the Shunâga area of the Karelia region of Russia. It is the only place where Shungite is mined in its pure form.
It is now widely accepted that Shungite possesses a multitude of properties beneficial to oneâs health – the ability to kill pathogenic bacteria, remove pesticides and pharmaceuticals, absorb from water various other organic and inorganic toxins as well as heavy metals.
Adding Shungite to water enriches it with oxygen, and fills it with calcium, magnesium and quite a few other essential mineral components.

To use black Shungite stones for making your water, here are your instructions on how to do it:
Black Shungite often has lots of black residue after it has been processed to make gravel. Rinse the residue off the stones under running water, do not use soap. You can rub them with your hands or use a brush to remove any fine black powder.
Place the rinsed stones in a enameled pan. Cover with fresh cold water and bring to a lite boil uncovered for 30 minutes. Drain and leave to cool.
Place the boiled Shungite in a glass, ceramic or enamel container and pour cold water over it
Use 200gr (approx 7 oz) of regular Shungite per 1 liter (2.1pints) of water
Leave the Shungite water sit at least overnight, or up to three days for maximum effect
Sediment in the water is normal and harmless, just let it settle down before you pour
You can refill the Shungite water container with fresh water when it gets low.
